Some users may have third-party cookies blocked in their browser preferences. This will prevent the MiddleGalaxy dashboard and account profile pages from loading in the Academy. Here’s how to enable cookies in Chrome, Safari, and Firefox:
Chrome settings:
Version 80.0.3987.132 (Official Build) (64-bit)
Preferences
-> Settings
-> Privacy and security
-> Site Settings
-> Cookies and site data
Either:
Disable ”Block third-party- cookies”
Or, with ”Block third-party cookies” enabled, add the following under Allow:
Safari
Version 13.0.5 (13608.5.12)
There is no preferences option specifically to block third-party cookies.
However, if the user is blocking all cookies, they will need to allow cookies in order for login/authorization to succeed.
Preferences
-> Privacy
-> Privacy tab
-> Cookies and website data
Block all cookies should be unchecked.
Firefox
72.0.2 (64-bit)
Preferences
-> Privacy and security
-> Browser Privacy - Enhanced Tracking Protection
If Custom is enabled and Cookies set to ”All third-party cookies (may cause websites to break)” or ”All cookies (will cause websites to break),”
then select under ”Cookies and Site Data” the ”Manage Permissions” button.
Add the following new entries for ”Address of website”:
dashboard-middlegalaxy.texasoncourse.org
Then: ”Save Changes.”
Refresh the Academy page. The MiddleGalaxy dashboard and account profile should be allowed to set cookies and load.
